Earlier this month, during art class, the children sent handmade Christmas cards with bright red or gold ribbons to US soldiers in Iraq. One day, they can create ALL our Christmas greetings…yeah!

Wishing you a season and new year of much love, peace, and joy.

February 2003—All Smiling

In March, Glenn won a Big Bear trip so the boys snowboarded and girls skied for the first time.  We spent time visiting with Tom and Jean who own a house they rent  out.  It sleeps 10.  www.bigbearcove.com  On the drive home, one of the boys said, “Can you win this again next year?”

Rory treated the lovely ladies of our family to the Women’s Connection Brunch Fashion Show for their birthday/early birthday.  Five have April or May birthdays including Lani but unfortunately she wasn’t able to join them.  Since the table fit 10, she took our girls along.  Theresa fell asleep the last half hour.

Text Box: Ethan celebrated the “Big 1” with a big bash in our big yard.  He napped for the first hour then joined the fun.  His siblings sang him a song “The Tale of Mr. Ethan” and then had yummy some cake.  We should have given him the cake first.

Rory is back in the printing business part-time from home.    She can do almost anything that needs printing with the help of some wholesale printers and another home schooling mom so please keep them in mind.  rory@egger.bz  Programming again, Glenn changed jobs recently and is glad to be off  pager duty.  He rarely works more than 40 hours/week having plenty of time with the family.

Praise report:  There will soon be 5 more World Vision children sponsored from the Philippines because of the willingness of 20 families to join a group sponsorship.  It only means a $26/year commitment. If you’d like to join the group sponsor programme, please let us know.  World Vision provides food, clothes, shelter, education and hope to millions of impoverished children worldwide.  www.shopministry.com

Notice anything different in the photo above?   At least 30 cm (12 inches) cut last month.  It will benefit Wigs for Kids.  www.wigsforkids.com

Joshua, Christianne, Theresa continue violin and next month, the boys try out for baseball.  One sport per year.  Their favourite teacher is still “mum” with dad the principal.  The enjoy getting together Wednesdays for PE/fitness with the MMCFS (Mira Mesa Christian Family Schools).  In May, Christianne earned the Presidential Fitness award for doing 5 pull-ups, 43 situps, etc.  The girls can keep up w/the boys.  Jordan is becoming quite the artist.
